MARSA EGLA OR MARSA ASSALAIA

MARSA EGLA / MARSA ASSALAIA

10€

Marsa Egla is a large sandy bay directly accessible from the beach. Access to the reef is easy through the shallow water, even in bad weather. On the North side of the reef, you will see large schools of small fish. The South attracts larger species, such as batfish, sweetlips, snappers, moray eels, groupers, and hedgehog fish. Between the North and South reefs, you will find seagrass, where you can find turtles and sometimes dugongs. Marsa Assalaia is a beautiful sandy bay, located just 7 km north of the city of Marsa Alam, which is why the locals call it "kilo seven", and it is a perfect place for snorkeling. Access to the reef is particularly easy due to shallow water. The bays slope gently down to beautiful North and South reefs. The species you'll encounter here will be similar to Marsa Egla due to its proximity. Marsa Egla and Assalaia are situated 4km and 6km, respectively, from the hotel. It will take around 5-8 minutes to reach these snorkeling sites.
