ELPHINSTONE REEF

Suitable for experienced divers with Advanced certification and minimum 50 logged dives.

dOLPHIN HOUSE

Dolphin house also called Sha'ab Samadai is one of the most famous diving sites in Marsa Alam. The three main sites of Samadai offer various possibilities to all sorts of divers who can enjoy the cave system, eel garden, a sea grass bed and the biodiversity of the pinnacles.

What we can see:

SHA'AB MARSA ALAM

Reef dive with pristine hard and soft coral gardens, walls and pinnacles. Small wooden wreck at 14 meters depth and caves.

What we can see:

GABAL EL ROSAS

It is a fringing reef, with a sandy entrance and is well protected all year round, which makes it very accessible even under bad weather and strong winds.

What we can see:

aBU GHUSUN

The site of the sinking of the cargo ship HAMADA on June 28, 1993. The Hamada was 65.1 meters long and 11.1 meters wide and was built in 1965. The ship lies broken in two parts on the reef at a depth between 10 and 18 meters.

What we can see:

MARSA EGLA

Marsa Egla is a large sandy bay, which is directly accessible from the beach. Access to the reef is very easy through the shallow water, even in bad weather. The bay slopes gently down to a beautiful reef. On the north side of the reef you will see large schools of small fish. The south attracts the larger species, such as bat fish, sweet lips, snappers, moray eels or groupers.

MARSA ASSALAIA

The reef lies opposite a large sandy bay. The bottom runs over a bed of sea grass slowly down to two beautiful reefs, on either side of the grass. This is the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful underwater panorama. There is an abundance of marine life.

MARSA SAMADAI

Marsa Samedai is a versatile dive site, where you can see blue spotted stingrays. This southern dive site is situated in a large sandy bay. You can reach the reef quite easily from the shore. You will see a lot of hard coral and an abundance of reef fish. More north are two large coral reefs with beautiful table corals. Pay attention to the sandy bottom, blue spotted stingrays are hiding in the sand.
